about

Mike Hindert's 11 song compilation "Retrospective” is a collection of songs Mike recorded and released with various bands from 2008 - 2017. While touring as bass player with the band The Bravery, Mike began writing his own songs, picking back up his original instrument, electric guitar, and taking up singing lead vocals. During breaks from tour he would go back to his family home in Falls Church, Virginia and record these songs with his friends he grew up with. Eventually moving back there and forming a new band, The Danvilles, a Rockabilly, Blues, and vintage Rock and Roll inspired band. And No Lover a heavier more punkified version of The Danvilles. No Lover was short lived and only recorded 1 album worth of songs. The Danvilles released 6 albums over 4 years and toured both the East and West coasts. The Danvilles disbanded when Mike moved to Everett, Washington in late 2014. While in Washington he started a new band called Mike Hindert and the Wolf with whom he recorded a full length album and played a number of shows in the Seattle area, ultimately disbanding when Mike moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 2018. All of these bands released their music on Mike’s own record label, Merrifield Records.
